It's time for auditions for Theatre Odyssey's 2010 10-minute play festival!

Announcing the 2010 Ten-Minute Play Festival!

Theatre Odyssey is happy to announce the Theatre Odyssey 2010 Ten-Minute Play Festival.

10 - 10 - 10!
10 plays -- 10 minutes -- 10 dollars!

The 2010 Festival will run Thursday through Saturday, April 8-10 and will consist of three evening performances with a matinee on Saturday. The announcement of the winning play will be made at the end of the evening performance on Saturday. All performances will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 2256 Bahia Vista St., Sarasota, FL 34239.

Admission is $10. Students and seniors pay only $7!

  • The Silence by Connie Schindewolf
  • In the Cards by David Ohlson

  • Saying Goodbye to Grandma by Bernie Yanelli
  • Dramatic Entrance by David Abolafia
  • Barbie Monologue by Walton Beacham

Call for plays!

Our readers have begun the competitive process for the Fifth Annual Ten-Minute Play Festival scheduled for March! Please mail your ten-minute plays to Theatre Odyssey, 1430 S. Orange Avenue, Sarasota, FL 34239.

UPDATE: We are no longer accepting plays for the 2010 festival. Watch this site for an announcement about the 2011 festival.

The 2009 Ten-Minute Play Festival

On Sunday, April 5th, 2009, for the fourth consecutive year, Theatre Odyssey presented Sarasota's Ten-Minute Play Festival, an event that provides both writers and actors an opportunity to showcase their skills.

The winner of this year's Festival was Walton Beacham's Stormy, which received an award for being the Best Play as well as a $250 cash prize provided by the Executive Producer of Theatre Odyssey's 2009 season, the Longboat Key Club.
