Playbill Student Festival 2026

Fourteenth Annual Student Ten-Minute Playwriting Festival

Student Playwriting Festival banner image

Welcome to the Festival

Welcome to the fourteenth annual Theatre Odyssey Student Ten Minute Playwriting Festival. It all began in January, 2013 when four plays written by high school students representing two schools were produced as a means to encourage young writers. This year, 25 plays written by students from 12 schools (plus one home-schooled student) were submitted. The plays chosen for production at the festival this year represent the discipline and passion of all those aspiring young playwrights who started with an idea and turned it into a written contribution to the noble art that is Live Theatre. We congratulate these playwrights, and we applaud the teachers and the schools that encouraged them.
